Contenda is an experimental contest based on “quiz bowl” events at schools and universities. Contestants are provided with a buzzer to answer the host's questions about artists, artworks, and artistic movements. Screen-based visual clues accompany each question. The public is invited to help the artist create questions about artworks in the collection of the de Young, while also engaging in fun and challenging pop-quizzes developed by the artist. Roseborough’s artwork and exhibitions have been covered by numerous publications and websites, including Artforum, Art in America, ARTnews, Hyperallergic.com, the San Francisco Chronicle, SF/Arts Monthly, the San Francisco Examiner, and the San Francisco Bay Guardian. Roseborough lives and works in San Francisco.
