An Impressive Improvement at El Paseo
Reviewed by Greg Hansen, 2008-01-08 16:54:02 Having lived in Mill Valley 20 years and dined occasionally at El Paseo, I was quite interested when it changed ownership to La Chouette Restaurant Group with new chef Keiko Takahashi. The changes to the menu have really raised the bar for high quality dining in the Bay Area. The food and presentation are spectacular with a fine paring of Asian and French flavors. The incredible wine cellar continues to prove it is one of the best in the country.
It has become a much more regular outing and with their wine bar menu it's easy to come in for a "small plates" dinner with excellent wines by the glass making it both a special occasion destination and quick weeknight dinner and wine.
All in all a very fine improvement to the dining scene.
