EL CERRITO (BCN)

An elderly man suffering from Alzheimer's disease who went missing from his El Cerrito home early this morning has been found safe.

Louis Falcon, 81, was reported missing after he was last seen at his home on Sonoma Avenue around 2:45 a.m. A neighbor's surveillance camera later recorded him walking on Sonoma Avenue toward Barrett Avenue, police said.

Police said Falcon may have gone out looking for his dog Jack, but the dog is home.

Falcon had been on a bus for a long period of time when the bus driver notified a supervisor, according to police.

Investigators were able to positively Falcon and returned him safely to his family, police said.
